How To Give Your Shop More Curb Appeal

**Collaborative Post**

One thing you’ve got to get right if you run any kind of shop is that all-important first impression - you need to catch the eye of passers-by or invite loyal customers back inside (and ideally both), and because of that, the exterior of your shop plays a massive role. If your storefront isn’t looking its best, you might be missing out on potential sales, and you might even start to get a bad reputation (people do notice everything, and when you’ve got plenty of competition, it’s the small things that count for the most). The reality is that your shop front needs to stand out in a town full of stores, so what can you do to draw people in?

With that in mind, here are a few ideas to help you boost your shop’s curb appeal - and it really doesn’t have to be difficult. Read on to find out more.

Freshen Up Your Storefront

It’s important to start with the basics, so you’ll need to take a good look at your storefront and see what can be done - a fresh coat of paint can do wonders for your shop’s exterior, for example. You can choose a bold colour to make a statement or a more neutral shade to look professional and modern - it’s really down to what kind of shop you run, how you intend to stand out, and what your own preferences are (and don’t forget there are sometimes rules and regulations about what colours you can use that councils and towns put in place, so make sure you stick to them as well).

Whatever you do, don’t forget about the door - it’s the first thing that people see when they walk into your shop and the last thing they’ll see when they leave, so it’s got to leave a good impression and it needs to look fresh and welcoming.

Keep Your Windows Sparkling

You mustn’t underestimate the power of… clean windows! It might sound silly at first, but when you realise why it’s so important, you’ll want to clean your windows right away or, if it’s better and perhaps safer, hire professionals like NSS to do it for you.

Shiny, spotless windows can give your shop a fresh and professional appearance, and what’s even better is that when windows aren’t all mucky and grimy, they let natural light flood into the space, making it feel lovely and welcoming (and it’s good for you and your team too - natural light in the workplace can be good for mental and physical health).

Show Off Your Best Products

Got a great window display? If not, it’s time to make one and ensure it’s visible from the outside (and from a distance too). This is your perfect opportunity to showcase your best products and give potential customers a taste of what’s inside, so it’s well worth thinking carefully about and taking your time over.

It’s also important to change it regularly to keep people interested, plus it’s got to be neat and not too cluttered - just pick the really great items to show off. A well-looked-after window display can become a bit of a talking point, so why not get started right away?

Showcase any Deals

If you are running any great deals, discounts or limited edition items let people know! Don't rely on people coming in to find out about the deal. People are often looking for the best price or deal on products and so knowing you run discounts and offers people may come check your store first!

xXx
