Sometimes planning a night out is all fun and games until the night out actually comes around and then you feel riddled with a whole range of emotions from anxiety about going out to stress about what to wear! When going on a night out, it can be tempting for you to look in the mirror and feel instantly bad about yourself or deflated. This is the last thing you need and a sure fire way to put a dampener on the start of your night out, but there are things you can do to make your life easier and your night out more fun. If you want to avoid situations like this then one thing you have to do is stop seeing defects.

It’s possible that your clothing is giving you anxiety. If you want to help yourself here then one thing you can do is accessorise. With improvements like this, you should find that you can give yourself the confidence you need to make a major difference.

Relax a Little
Before you start getting ready, take a deep breath and relax. If you need to run yourself a bath and take some time to relax and unwind before you start getting ready so you start your night out the right way, relaxed and stress-free. Try to plan things that might cause you stress beforehand such as your clothing, taxis, meeting points etc this way you are free to enjoy getting ready without having other things on your mind. If you still find yourself getting stressed why not try listening to music whilst you get ready or invite friends round and get ready together so you can chat whilst you get ready.
Don’t Go
Although this may sound like strange advice, it’s so important to remember that you can always cancel. If you don’t feel good about going out, or if you don’t feel like you get on with the people then just call it quits. There is no shame in you cancelling the odd social event, your mental health has to come first. Moving forward, just make sure that you are only planning events that make you feel good, and that bring you happiness. If you can do this, you are bound to see a huge benefit.
Dress in Anticipation
You also need to make sure that you are dressing in anticipation of the temperature but also dressing in something that makes you feel good and confident too. Self awareness is so important and there’s nothing worse than feeling sticky and uncomfortable shortly after you go out as it will be all you can think about all night. If you can, make sure you dress according to the temperature outside and make sure that you have a level of awareness about the event as a whole. If you can, plan your shoes and make sure that you show a level of respect toward everything, perhaps opting for a midi dress rather than mini for a more appropriate length. Reframe your outfit and make sure that you are putting yourself first at all times. If you can do this then you will soon find that you feel confident in.
Be Yourself
Most of all, you have to make sure that you are yourself. You need to feel confident when going out and this means being yourself. You need to take the time to reflect on what you like and what you don’t like. If you can do this then you will soon find that it becomes easier for you to get the result you want out of your night out and at the end of the day, this is so very important.
So as you can see, it’s easy to feel more confident when going on a night out when you simply focus on yourself above all else. If you can do this then you will find that you end up feeling better and that it is easier for you to get the result you want out of your fashion journey. Remember, there’s no harm in asking your friends and family what they think about your outfit if they can give their honest opinions.
