Plus Size Summer Fashion with Yours Clothing

Plus size fashion in the UK can be very hit and miss, often with very little variety to choose from and extremely limited "plus size" sizing when it comes to actual clothing stores. As a plus size woman myself I find it extremely frustrated and disappointing too. It can be extremely disheartening to go into a clothing store only to realise they have nothing in your size, or a tiny section in a corner of the store. I have therefore over the past few years mainly stuck to online shopping, however there is one clothing retailer changing all that, Yours Clothing. Curve Blue Foral Hankey Hem Sundress

I am starting strong with probably one of my favourite dresses I have so far found being a plus size woman. The colour of this dress is a stunning deep ocean blue, almost a indigo denim colour but in a floaty lightweight fabric. The dress features adjustable straps button fastenings and a stretchy back panel ensuring it fits perfectly. Being a bigger busted woman I really liked the stretchy back panel as it meant the dress fitted nicely around the chest around without being too tight or too loose. 

The floral print on the dress gives it a beautifully summer feel and hints of subtle sequins make the dress shimmer ever so slightly in the light. The dress is a midi length although being a hanky hem style some parts are longer and came to just above me ankle on me (I am 5ft6in). The nature of this dress means it is perfect for almost any occasion with the right accessories and I have worn it both to the beach and to a wedding! I love how light weight and floaty if feels but that it doesn't compromise on style for this and still looks and feels great on. Pair it with sandals and a beach bag for an all day relaxed summer look, or heels and a light bolero for a summer themed more formal attire. 

Yours London Curve Red Floral Tea Dress

If you are looking for a dress that will really make you pop in a crowd then this is it. The vibrant red is a real statement whilst remaining floaty and soft for pure comfort. The knit crepe fabric give it a soft yet giving quality that feels great for a plus size range. Featuring a fine floral print and cute short puff sleeps, this dress is available in three colours, red, green and blue. It is a tea style that comes to around knee length and featured a small ruffled elasticated hem around the bottom of the dress. 

I found the slight stretch to the material was great and meant it fit really well whilst still feeling light weight. The elasticated sleeves and hem ensure the dress doesn't ride up or slip off and the length makes it perfect for either wearing along as a summer dress or paired with leggings for those not wanting a dress alone. 

Curve Navy Blue Ditsy Print Strappy Sundress

If you are looking for a summer dress that looks great but is also lightweight, cooling and easy to wear? Well this ditsy print sundress may just tick all of those boxes, it certainly did for me! Made from 100% viscose the dress is super lightweight and features a stretchy bank panel ensuring it fits the chest and back area perfect regardless of size or shape. It also has adjustable thin straps and a button down from section. 

I wore this dress out to the beach and had so many compliments, the print makes it easy to wear with anything, I opted for a navy cardigan and basic sandals but you could also pair it with a denim jacket and some trainers for a cool casual look too. The length of this dress is around the knee, maybe a little longer is you are shorter like me. 

Curve Green Daisy Print Drape Pocket Dress

This draped pocket summer dress is the ultimate in summer comfort. Made from a soft jersey fabric the dress feels soft on, has lots of stretch and enables you to really move around in it comfortably. It is sleeveless with a thick should strap and a scooped neckline which makes it perfect for hot weather and the two draped side pockets make the dress for me, I mean who doesn't love a pocket right!? 

The dress is available is 6 different colours including green, pink, red, blue, black and a black and white striped pattern. Its casual look means it is perfect for pairing with a pair of leggings for a day to day look or even a pair of simple cycling shorts for the hot weather and to show off your legs!

But what really stands out for me is that they aren't just "available" in these sizes, they are made for these sizes. Lots of thought has gone into how a plus size body looks and feels with features such as the stretchy shirred back panel fabric on some dresses for extra room in the chest area. The correct length both in body and sleeves which have factored in the shape of a plus size body.
