Are Farrow and Ball paint colours worth the hype? Well the quick answer: yes. As a big fan of Farrow & Ball I may be a little biased, but I truly believe that this paint brand and their stunning
colours are definitely worth the hype. Whether you want to re-decorate your
home or want to add a new splash of colour to your living room, I’d highly
recommend having a look at Farrow and Ball (if you haven’t already!).
If you’ve never seen their distinctive palette of paint colours – have you been living under a rock? Perhaps you’re not into interior design or have never heard of Farrow & Ball, I’ll let it slide (this time!. If you are not familiar with their colours, browse Farrow and Ball colours at Kent Blaxill, a family-run decorating centre that sells paint, wallpaper and decorating supplies.
Who is Farrow & Ball?
Based in Dorset, this paint brand has been passionate about
creating rich colours since 1946. I first learnt about them around 10 years ago
when they went eco-friendly. Back in 2010, Farrow and Ball decided to move their
range of oil-based paints to eco-friendly water-based finishes with low VOC
(volatile organic compounds). So, not only does Farrow & Ball offer lovely
colours but they are also environmentally friendly!
But that’s not all! Did you know that Farrow & Ball
paint could add £3,000 to the value of your home? House
Beautiful shared the results of a recent survey that revealed this. “The
survey, which asked 2,000 potential homebuyers to reveal how much extra money
they think different eco-improvements add to the value of a property, found
that eco-friendly (low VOC) paint could add thousands to your property price.”
Are their colours worth the hype?
You tell me... Would you want to paint your home with rich,
eco-friendly paints? I think the answer for most people would be yes. I believe that paint should be
seen as a home investment and, like any other home investment, you should go
for high-quality products that will do what it says on the tin, be
long-lasting, and boost your home’s value.
Don’t just take it from me. As Rock
N Roller Baby comments that “Many of their paints are recommended by the
industry’s top designers, including Farrow & Ball Borrowed Light, Farrow
& Ball Parma Gray and Farrow & Ball De Nimes.”
Plus, Farrow & Ball colours not only make your interiors look good but can also make you look good. Farrow & Ball’s Setting Plaster, a blushing pink hue, is causing a stir amongst the design world. This shade coats the inside of Pebble Bar, Manhattan’s most fashionable new bar, and is designed to make you look good. An expert explained to Livingetc that this tone “can benefit people in different ways, but ultimately, this colour looks good on everyone.”
Farrow & Ball colours are definitely worth the hype. What
do you think?
xXx
