Could Anti-Ageing Treatments Boost Your Confidence?

**Advertisement Feature**

Last year I turned 30 and it really got me thinking about my skincare, or the lack of it if I am being totally honest! I think ageing and the signs of ageing are something most of us will think about at some point and many of us (myself included) look at ways we could turn back time or at least delay the process when it comes to signs of ageing. But the good news is there are lots of things available to help and if you are lacking in confidence or just curious about ways you can fight the signs of ageing, keep reading below to find out what you can do to help...

The fact is, we all want to look our best and noticing signs of ageing can be a real drop in confidence for some. Whilst we all know the phrases such as "growing old gracefully" etc, that doesn't mean you can't do anything about it. In fact how we look links directly to how we feel sometimes and so if choosing to undergo a procedure or taking steps to help with anti ageing makes you feel better about yourself then I say go for it, after all confidence is everything!

Protect your skin from the sun

Sun protection is something we are all taught to use, even as children and it really is such an important thing to remember. But one thing that people often forget is that actually protecting your skin from the sun is something you need to do all year round, not just in the height of summer. That's because even when it looks like a clear chilly day, the suns rays can still be damaging to your skin. Of course you don't need to lather up in a factor 50 every time you step out the door, but applying a moisturiser or similar that contains an spf as part of your daily routine is great habit to get into.

This is because the sun can actually be one of the most damaging things to our skin and if you are not protecting your skin from it, it can really speed up the aging process. So using a daily spf is such an easy, quick and cost effective way of helping you prevent premature dryness, ageing and wrinkles.

Good diet and cut out bad habits

I know we hear about good diets and ditching bag habits all the time, but what you eat and your habits could actually be leading you to ageing faster. If you have habits such as smoking or consuming large amounts of alcohol, these can all be damaging to your skin as they will often dry out your skin and show an increased loss of elasticity within the skin. This can lead to fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and tone, dark circles under the eyes and many other health issues too.

Ensuring you are getting a good variety of foods will help ensure you are getting all of the vitamins and minerals you need to keep your mind and body healthy. If for any reason you feel you are not getting these through your diet, you could always try adding a vitamin or collagen supplement to your diet. One super easy but really beneficial thing you can do to help keep your skin looking healthy and glowing too is drinking plenty of water, every day.

Non surgical treatments

Whilst having a healthy diet and good skincare routine can help keep those signs of ageing at bay, if you already have signs of ageing you dislike there are plenty of non surgical ways you can minimise these. There are lots of clinics such as the New York Laser Clinic who offer a range of non surgical anti-ageing treatments. There are a range of treatments available and these can be discussed via a consultation where you can share your main worries, concerns and the areas you would like to improve before a treatment if then recommended for you. Some of the treatments available include -

- Micro needling

- Facial Fillers

- Pelleve treatments

- Microdermabrasion

- Skin Peels

Prices on treatments such as those above vary but with prices starting from as little as £55 per treatment there are definitely options for everyone. New York Laser Clinic are a leading provider of anti-ageing treatments and they offer bespoke treatments that directly target fine line and wrinkles to help you reveal your inner and outer glow and give your confidence a complete boost. Non surgical treatments are a great option for those on the go too as there is often minimal down time with some taking less than an hour to complete per session!

Have a good skincare routine

The idea of a skincare routine can sound daunting but whilst there are lots of products available, your skincare can be really simple and quick if you want, its just about finding the right products and using them regularly. If you aren't sure what products to use you can visit a skincare clinic, beauty counter or similar who can advise on your skincare type and recommend products. Be sure to let them know what you are looking for, so if you want anti-ageing products let them know this. If you want a routine that is quick, let them know so they can tailor products around this.

The basis of any good skincare routine is a good cleanse, tone and moisturise. Ensuring you remove any make up products each day and applying a good moisturiser. Some people also swear by using a silk pillowcase which is supposed to really help reduce the chance of fine lines and wrinkles over a traditional cotton pillow case for example.

Hopefully the tips above will be useful, but it is important to remember that the most important thing about any decisions you make is that they are for you. For your own wellbeing, self esteem and confidence. So whether you choose to embrace ageing or want to hold it off for as long as possible, embrace it and remember there are lots of ways anti ageing treatment options if the thought of ageing is effecting your confidence.

Have you ever considered getting any anti ageing treatments or would you as you get older?

xXx
