All Season, Waterproof Trainers from Loom Footwear

 **Advertisement Feature**

Nobody likes having wet feet right..? And with the colder, wetter, winter weather heading our way many of us will be soon packing away our flip flops and pretty sandals for something a little more warm and dry. However shoes designed for the colder months can often feel clunky, heavy or uncomfortable not to mentioning needing to have several different options such as wellies, trainers, boots etc depending on the weather and where you are going. But what if I told you there was such a thing as an all season shoe that ticks all the boxes? It is waterproof yet comfortable, stylish yet practical... well let me introduce you to Loom Footwear, the all season waterproof shoes changing the way you think about footwear this winter.

About Loom footwear

You may or may not have heard the name Loom when it comes to footwear before but I think we will definitely be hearing more and more about them in the future. Loom Footwear is the result of a collaboration between leading podiatrists, engineers, ergonomic specialists, and footwear designers. Having worked in the footwear industry for years, these experts realized that people buy far too many shoes and still deal with pain, pressure, leaks, and poor support and this is something they knew had to change.

Knowing the technology was available to create such a shoe was available they set to work and the very first Loom trainers were born. The Loom trainers are the first design in the Loom footwear line but being comfortable, waterproof and stylish it may be the only shoe you actually need!

Loom Footwear are also dedication to sustainability. With the average pair of shoes requiring large amounts of fossil fuels, thousands of gallons of water, and polluting chemicals to produce. Loom are made with eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices to reduce each pair’s carbon footprint by over 500%.

What makes Loom footwear different?

Well lets start with the obvious, they are trainers that are 100% waterproof, I think that makes these trainers pretty different and fantastic from the get go right? And when they say waterproof they don't just mean splash proof, they mean you could stand in a puddle and still have perfectly dry feet! But there are so many other great featured in these shoes. They also feature shock repellent and temperature regulated material making these trainers an all rounder shoe for any season, activity or weather. Combined with the fact that they look fashionable and stylish but offer the feel and levity of a running shoe, make them the complete whole package.

Loom Footwear has been able to utilizes a few key materials to achieve its aim of making its shoe so versatile. These include a Merino wool interior, a H2-Go waterproof layer, and an Excelcast sole. Merino wool is known in the textile industry as the highest-performance fabric of the 21st century. It is as soft as cashmere and as strong as leather. It’s able to regulate temperature to keep feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It’s also antimicrobial, making Loom immune from athlete’s foot, odour, and infection-causing bacteria.

The exterior of Loom shoes is formed with four layers of breathable, moisture-wicking, and waterproof material. It’s extremely light and easy to clean thanks to its ability to repel liquids and grime helping to make these trainers completely waterproof.

Loom’s Excelcast sole is the source of its support and comfort. The proprietary sole was developed by podiatrists to support the foot and deliver maximum energy return. This supports higher performance while running and protects joints from shock. The Excelcast sole makes Loom suitable for team sports, running, hiking, and high-impact training.

The Loom trainers also feature a slip-on design making them easy to slip on and off and especially handy for those who may struggle with putting shoes on or tying laces such as those with limited mobility. The form-fitting design means that even when worn without socks the shoe actually hugs the foot meaning no blisters or rashes even on bare feet.

Where can I purchase Loom shoes?

Loom trainers are currently sold exclusively online and can be found and purchased via the website here - www.loomfootwear.com. They are available for both men and women and in a range of sizes between UK 5 and a UK 12 for men and between a UK 2.5 and UK 8.5 for women. It is worth mentioning however that the sizing is based on EU sizing and Loom do suggest going up a size rather than down if you are between sizes. They are currently available in either all white or black with a while sole of the shoe.

The trainers are currently priced at around £71.20 in GBP which although initially may sound at the more expensive end, I think is actually a really fair price. Especially when you consider that the Loom trainers can actually take the place of several pairs of shoes and all of the amazing technology that goes into creating each pair. Plus this one pair of shoes can take you from work in the office to hiking in the mountains to a dip in the ocean, all whilst keeping your feet comfortable and dry, it doesn't seem like such a high price when you put it like that right?

Are Loom trainers something you would ever wear? Personally I think they are a fantastic idea, especially for people who love getting out and about, exploring, walking etc. It means you can take one pair of shoes for a whole multitude of activities and even better, not have to worry about getting wet feet either. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

xXx
