Playmobil EverDreamerz - Series 2 **REVIEW**

**AD - Review**

We have been huge Playmobil fans ever since the kids were little. Both James and Evelyn have had various sets and they are always so well made and perfect for lots imaginative play. The attention to detail is always amazing and

So when we recently heard about the Playmobil EverDreamerz I knew they would be something Evelyn would love. The EverDreamerz are five friends, Starleen, Clare, Edwina, Viona and Edwina. Each of the girls has their own style, personality, likes and dislikes as well as their very own animal companion.

This range of toys is actually series 2, the first series was set in Candy World whilst series 2 (the series we are showing here) is set in Comic World. The story is set when the girls find a magic amulet which when touched opens up into the land of their dreams. But when they get themselves into a bit of trouble the five friends have to team up together and with some other unique characters to restore the colour to the world after their mess removed it all.

The Playmobil EverDreamerz are aimed at children age 7+ although Evelyn is 6 and really enjoyed these dolls so I think the age range will depend on your child. Obviously the older your child is the more they will be able to understand about the girls personalities and the story behind the EverDreamerz too.

There are two different products in the Series 2 Playmobil EverDreamerz range -

The Playmobil EverDreamerz Surprise Box - rrp £5.99

The surprise boxes are the smaller of the two products at at just £5.99 make great pocket money toys or even stocking fillers for Christmas. Inside each box you will find one of 12 different surprise characters and who you will find is a complete surprise until you open the box as their is no indication of the character until you open it up!. Evelyn was over the moon excited to discover she had actually found the one and only limited edition character too!

Inside you will also find a charm, trading card, colour changing sticker, collectors guide and some accessories which will differ per character. We did discover that this set does requires a water pen which is not included to help change the sticker, although we found dipping your finger in water and using this worked perfectly fine if you don't have one.

The Playmobil EverDreamerz Characters - rrp £14.99

The character boxes are the larger of the two products as they contain the main EverDreamerz characters! Unlike the surprise boxes, the character shown on the front of the box is the character you get inside the box.

To begin opening the box there is a small perforated zip which can be pulled to remove the outer layer. Beneath this this is another layer which shoes the "magic amulet" tying the whole unboxing experience into the story around the EverDreamerz which I think is really lovely idea. Once this layer is opened it reveals a number of blind bags with loads of surprises in each bag.

Inside you will find the following -

  • A EverDreamerz Character (the same character as shown on the box)
  • Clip on hair pieces such as side pony tails, buns or a hair accessory
  • A skirt for the doll which clips on in two pieces
  • A Water pen
  • A comic book, comic sign and scroll that can all be coloured in using the included water pen.
  • A rubber bracelet complete with different charms suited to your characters personality and likes.
  • A collectors card and sticker
  • A figure stand to display your EverDreamerz
  • A number of different accessories for your doll to use/hold. These include items such as paint pots, handbags and even a weight bar.
  • A trust pet companion (either a cat, panda, flamingo, llama or meerkat

So what did we think? Well Evelyn absolutely loved the EverDreamerz! We both loved the bright fun vibe to the dolls and love that they have really thought about the story behind the dolls and their adventure which really helps with imaginative play as Evelyn already had a back story to use when playing. The charm bracelets that come with each character are also a lovely touch, and made from soft flexible rubber they are comfy for even little hands. Each characters comes with a braclet and charm so you can choose to wear multiple bracelets or place all the charms onto one.

The accessories that come with each character are fantastic too! With the same usual Playmobil quality, lots of colour and lots of thought has gone into the personality of each character too which really shows. The outfits and accessories that come with the dolls are also interchangeable giving a whole world of possibilities for play. This does mean there are lots of small bits that come with these sets and so I think this is probably a big part of the reason the recommended age is 7+, however we got around this by using a large tub to keep all the bits in so nothing got lost or broken.

Are you fans of Playmobil too? Do you think the EverDreamerz are something your kids would love?

xXx
