**AD - Review**
If there was one thing both the kids agreed on doing over the whole lockdown without arguing it was crafting and drawing. It's one of those activities that can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone regardless of age or interests. It brings out our very best imaginative idea's but it also often brings with it lots of mess too!
However there may just be a solution to that... Little Brian Paint Sticks! They offer the same fun and enjoyment kids get from painting but with hardly any mess at all. Plus there is no waste or water needed.
Little Brian Paint Sticks aim to provide a fun, clean and convenient way of painting without all the mess and spills that so often come with it, especially when it comes to toddlers or younger children. The paint sticks are water soluble, offering a child friendly solid paint that simply twists up and down to be used, similar to how a glue stick works. The great thing about Little Brian Paint Sticks is that they are super versatile too, they can be used on paper, card, canvas, wood and even glass. There is no need for brushes or water and the paint itself dries in around 60 seconds.
Evelyn loves to paint so you can imagine her excitement when we were recently asked if we would like to try out some of the amazing Little Brian Paint Sticks products. We received the Little Brian Giant Paint Stick (with 30 assorted Paint Sticks), the Little Brian Paint Sticks Mini Art Station and the Little Brian Face Paint Sticks. Here is how we got on with the products -
Little Brian Giant Paint Stick - RRP £19.99
Brand new to the Paint Sticks range this giant paint stick storage tub contains all 30 assorted paint sticks in the Little Brian range. It also provides a handy place to keep and store all your paint sticks. The set contains 12 classic colours, 6 day glow colours and 12 metallic paint sticks.
I have to say we love the Giant Paint Stick as it contains all the colours Evelyn and James would need to create some great pictures and as the end of it all they are so easy to pack away. It also means we know exactly where they all are when we need them again too. I think the only thing that would make this set better is if perhaps it opened up on the side so all the colours could viewed whilst in the tub, since it opens at the top you kind of have to tip them all out of the tub to see all the colours. However this doesn't effect play at all and I am sure even if it did open up on the side Evelyn would still tip them all out!
Little Brian Paint Sticks Mini Art Station - RRP £19.99
The mini art station is probably both mine and Evelyn's favourite product of them all and it has shown in the fact she has asked to use it almost every day since it arrived. This double sided art station in new to the Little Brian range and includes a whiteboard on one side and a chalkboard on the other. The set includes six chalks, six mini paint sticks, 10 sheets of A5 paper and a duster, everything you need to start getting creative straight from the box.
As a parent I love how handy the mini art station is and how it keeps everything contained to one area, no paper or pens flying across the table or rolling across the carpet! It is portable, easy to fold and easy to store too. It would be perfect for bringing on camping trips or holiday as it can stored away neatly with everything inside. Evelyn also found it much easier drawing in front of her with the board "up" rather than flat on a table so I can see this being something she continues to use for quite some time.
Little Brian 12 Pack Face Paint Sticks - RRP £9.99
What kid's don't like having their face painted right? If we go somewhere that offers face painting then you can bet my kids will seek it out and make a b-line for it. So I was excited to give the Little Brian Face Paint Sticks a try in the hope I might be able to offer them face painting at home too.
I can confirm the Face Paint Sticks are fantastic! They are super easy to use, glide on to the skin and are really vibrant and bright too. Using the Face Paint Sticks eliminated the need for messy brushes, sponges and water and provided a quick, easy and mess free way to achieve a fun face paint look. You could even pop them in your bag to do at a festival or to top up through out the day and once dry the face paint is there to stay, offering a smudge free look. The pack includes a handy how-to booklet with 12 different designs to get you started and contains 12 assorted face paint colours.
Overall we absolutely love the Little Brian Paint Sticks products and love the simplicity of what they are, offering mess free arts and crafts without compromising on fun. Whilst the paint sticks are obviously aimed at slightly younger children, with their easy to grip chunky shape and super bright colours, both James and Evelyn have enjoyed using them.
If you like the look of the Little Brian products and fancy the chance to win some for yourself, keep an eye out on the Tantrums to Smiles Instagram page on Wednesday (9th September) where I will be giving away a Little Brian Mini Art Station to one lucky winner!
