Good Investments for Mums on the Go

**Collaborative Feature**

Whether your job means you never stop, you are busy playing taxi to all your children as they move between activities, or you are bouncing around as you complete errands, there are several items that mums should always have on them.

Here are some of the things that a mum on the go should try to invest in.

Comfy but Smart Trainers

Trainers are one of the most versatile shoes out there. It is very easy to combine them with a more sophisticated outfit if you have a lot planned for the day, but they will also look great even if you are heading out in leggings and an old t-shirt.

One of the best things about trainers is their comfort factor and your ability to move while wearing them. You can run after your children, drive your car, and stay on your feet for as long as you need to. No matter what, you can be certain that everything will be taken care of and, though your feet might ache a little at the end of the day, they won’t hurt as much as if you had been wearing some other shoes.

Why not go a little more glam and opt for some designer trainers like the Fendi sneakers? By checking out some of the shoes available at a site like SSENSE who stock the world’s top designers, you could pick up an amazing pair of designer sneakers that will be the perfect thing to accompany you on your day out.

Layers

You never know what you are going to be doing on a busy day out. Therefore, you should make sure that you have layers so you can keep yourself as warm or as cool as can be. Loose, breathable clothing made from materials like cotton look easy and comfy to wear without overly wearing you down.

One easy way to get the layers you need is with cardigans and scarves. Creating a good collection of both means that you will always have something to reach for when it gets colder. Try to get into the habit of stashing a scarf in places like your car or your most used handbag so you always have one to hand. Even if you don’t wear it round your neck, you could quickly turn it into a bag or something else that could help you out when you least expect it.

A Pair of Sunglasses

Even if you live somewhere that seems to be grey and murky, it will be sunny some of the time. Throwing a pair of sunglasses into your handbag might seem like an afterthought but it could also be the perfect accompaniment to a good day.

So many of us end up sitting in the sunshine wishing we had a pair of sunglasses. Whether we actually need them to see what we are doing or we just wish to throw them on to make things feel a bit more summery, they are a great thing to have. Throw your favourite pair into your handbag now; you might be shocked at the difference it makes to your mood when you get to wear them.

A Small Emergency Kit

Sometimes we have to change our plans at the last minute when we are out and about. It is helpful to have a small kit with us so we can freshen up our appearance if we are ever stuck in this situation. Make sure you throw in your deodorant and a small travel-sized version of your perfume. Hair grips and a spare bobble can be used to tame your hair if it is getting wild, and tissues, wet wipes, and hand sanitiser can help you feel a bit fresher. Add in some concealer and powder and your favourite lipstick to help fix your makeup and you have everything you need!

Throw it all into a small waterproof bag and make sure you take it out with you. While it can seem like a lot to take out with you when you head out and about, it could also be entirely worth it when you get a last-minute invitation to brunch. Make sure to keep it well-stocked with supplies and transfer it between bags as you need. After a while, you will wonder how you ever did without it before!

All of the above items are just to deal with you and not your children. With children in tow, you could need things for them and bits and bobs to keep them entertained. No matter what, you need to make sure you have the right things on hand so you can take on any task that might face you. With the right prep and some sound investments on your part, you should have no trouble taking on anything that life wants to throw at you, no matter what day it might be!

What are your go to essentials for everyday life?

xXx
