A new year means lots of new goals, resolutions and changes for lots of us and that includes our homes! As a new year begins many of us look to give our homes a bit of a refresh or a new look complete and one of the best ways to do that is redecorating!
With a New Year often come lots of new trends too and one of the trends I think will really take off in 2020 is blue wallpaper! With so many different shades of blue, patterns and prints it is suitable for pretty much any room in your home and the blue colour really makes an impact whatever design or shade you choose! Whether its for a feature wall, all over colour of making a statement in a room, blue wallpaper could be for you!
Not only is blue wallpaper versatile, its also relaxing mimicking the sea, sky and sunshine vibes which we all love right? So whether you are looking to bring the outside in or a little bit of the ocean to your front door blue wallpaper could help you transform your home.
Here are 5 of my favourite blue wallpaper looks from wallpaperfromthe70s.com
Blue Sky/Clouds print
Geometric Shimmer
Geometric patterns and shapes have been on trend for a while now and this wallpaper pairs the popular geometric pattern with a deep navy blue and that all important shimmer. The shimmer is in a beautiful bronze colour which really pops against the deep blue. I think this would look amazing as a feature wall in a living or bedroom area!
Back to Natural Blue
If the deep blue above feels a little bit much for you how above this natural wood plank effect wallpaper with a subtle blue hue? The blue is really subtle but gives a lovely effect against the slightly distressed effect wood grain. I think this would look great in a kitchen or even bathroom area.
Blue Florals
Floral prints never really go out of fashion and I think this navy blue print wallpaper adorned with a plethora of green and blue shade leaves and foliage is a timeless wallpaper that could look great in any room. The different colour in the leaves really breaks up the deep blue without detracting from it and would make a lovely feature wall paper for a bedroom. You could then choose any of the colours featured in the leaves for the remaining walls depending on the look you are going for.
Bold Prints
When it comes to making a statement bold prints are definitely the way to go! I love this blue bird print paired with floral branches that give this paper a lovely feminine touch. Since the background is an off white colour the paper doesn't feel too over powering at all giving the print space to really stand out and show. Again this could work as a feature wall, perhaps matching the rest of the walls with the blue on this print or as an all over wallpaper for a real statement.

I would have never have thought of using blue wallpaper. I always imagine it making a room feel cold but I really like these. Especially the star one and the wooden plank one x
