Sometimes I wonder if James was born part fish since he loves spending so much time in the water! But I have to hold my hands up and say that he has transformed his love for water into a passion for swimming, and now he loves swimming as part of a club. Entering competitions and gala's whenever he can and making some great friends along the way too.
James has been with the club a few years now and has won several medals at galas in that time too. So back in October, when he was invited along with the club to swim camp he couldn't wait to get stuck in, learning new skills and of course enjoying a few nights from home in a hotel with his mates! But swim camp meant new equipment and with all the swimming they would be doing it had to be just right.
So, when James was recently asked if he would like to try out the K180 Michael Phelps goggles it was perfect timing for swim camp and he couldn't wait! When it comes to buying swimming equipment James is very specific about his goggles in particular. Probably stemming from the time, he jumped into the pool during a competition, his goggles came off and he got disqualified! So now he is really picky when it comes to getting the right goggles and I was really intrigued to see how he would get on with these.
The K180 goggle offers big vision in a small space. These goggles are FINA approved and offer watertight protection with an integrated curved lens to ensure vision isn't compromised whilst you are swimming. The soft gaskets and adjustable nose bridge ensures maximum comfort and helps you get the very best fit regardless of your shape or size or swim technique.
James has been so impressed with these googles that they are very much his firm favourites now. He wears them to training 4 times a week and to every gala and competition he has had since receiving them. They haven't leaked at all; they have stayed put even during some pretty strong dives from the blocks and according to James they are really comfortable to wear too.
The head strap on the K180 goggles in an integrated loop strap which not only enhances hydrodynamics but also made the goggles easy to adjust, tighten and loosen for James by himself which is very handy when he is poolside without us. The goggles have also been engineered with Exo-Core technology, combining two materials for maximum performance, comfort and style.
The only thing I would say is that we have noticed the lenses on these do scratch very easily, especially if being used regularly so it's really important to keep the hard plastic case handy at all times and place the goggles inside when not in use.
The goggles are priced at £19.99 and are available in range of colours as well as a clear, clouded or mirrored lens style too.
Have you tried and of the Michael Phelps range yet?
xXx
**We were gifted a pair of K180 MP goggles for the purpose of this review. However all words and opinions are my own.**
