Hatchimals have been a favourite in our house for a while now, the combination of the surprise egg and super cute characters are a fantastic fun combination that Evelyn absolutely loves.
There is a huge variety of products and toys within the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles range and we have lots of them, so Evelyn was so excited to receive a new Hatchimals product in the post this week, the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles secret surprise egg from Spin Master.
The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles secret surprise comes as a large pink/purple egg and, just like the smaller Hatchimals eggs, they have a purple heart on the front that you need to rub to crack open your egg. The secret surprise egg measures around 12cm tall so is much larger than the other Hatchimals CollEGGtibles we have opened before, meaning more surprises too!
The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles secret surprise egg actually contains three surprise characters, three accessories, stickers to decorate your egg and a miniature cardboard scene to enhance play and create a backdrop to display your three new Hatchimals friends.
Evelyn got to work at opening her egg and loved carefully rubbing the purple heart on the front of the egg until it turned from purple to pink. She then pushed her thumb through to reveal the three characters within the egg!
She found the Rhythm Rainbow group who also glow in the dark, aren't they adorable!?
Once the top part of the egg has been cracked open, the base of the egg is actually make from a harder plastic and splits into two. The top part contains the scenery sheets and stickers whilst the bottom section contains three sealed compartment which each contain an accessory.
Once Evelyn has opened all the sections of the egg she wasted no time in playing with her new toys. One of the great things about the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles surprise egg is that the egg itself actually transforms into a display stand for your Hatchimals characters.
When you first open your egg (before you even crack it) you will notice a clear dome covering the egg, make sure you keep this safe! Because this dome actually connects to the plastic base of the surprise egg to create a clear dome in which your Hatchimals can sit inside to be displayed. All of the accessories and cardboard scene can also be placed inside the dome to create a full scene/set for the characters to be displayed in.
I loved this addition because not only does it look very cute but it also means that Evelyn has somewhere to store all of the little pieces that come in the secret surprise when she isn't playing with them.
The secret surprise egg has been a huge hit with Evelyn and I can totally see why. She loved the "craxking" of the egg to reveal the surprise element and it took much longer than just opening a bag. The little characters inside are adorable and the little details in their faces and the accessories are so lovely. Evelyn has her dome proudly displayed in her room and is already asking for more to add to her collection!
