Taking the #ACEforSchool Challenge with Britmums!

I have always been a firm believer in allowing kids to get dirty, explore and have fun and I still stand by that to this day. The kids definitely like to push the limits of this and love to explore, the muddier and dirtier the better for them, and this doesn't stop at school!

Both James and Evelyn love their time with friends at school and we are really lucky in that their school fully supports lots of outdoor play, exploration and adventure through playtime. They have a big shed full of things to build dens and have fun with such a tyres and sheets etc. They also have a huge digging area, access to a woodland area as of course the school playground, football pitch and climbing equipment. Of course that means that along with the usual school dinners and felt tip pen stains we get LOTS of mud, grass and various other stains that come with having fun.

So when Britmums asked us to put some of the ACE stain removing products to the test with the ACE for School challenge I knew James and Evelyn would have no problem putting them through their paces! We have been trying out the Ace for colours and Ace stain remover spray for the last few weeks and have been thoroughly impressed (you can even use it around the house on carpet and upholstery too!).

To really test ACE out we took one of James plain white school polo shirts and generously covered it with the typical stains both James and Evelyn come home from school with every day! From school lunches to grass stains from some questionable football tackles from James side.

We then used the ACE products as instructed. We used the stain remover spray on the stains around an hour after the stains were put onto the top. ACE does say that they recommend treating the stains as soon as possible but when kids are at school having all that fun, creating all those stains, it isn't always possible to get your hands on the clothes straight away. The stain remover spray is really easy to use, just turn the nozzle to the on position and spray onto any stained area's to pre-treat before putting into the washing machine.

The ACE for Colours works in a similar way. You can either pre-treat stains pouring a small amount directly on to stains or you can add a capful into your washing machine for more general stain cleaning. Both products have a clean smell and both work really well on daily or stubborn stains just like the ones above!

We anxiously awaited the results, pondering whether I may have pushed this test a little too far. I mean I know the kids can be messy but we really did put ACE to the test with all these stains in one wash. I used nothing other than the ACE stain remover and our ordinary washing detergent (fairy non bio pods) and this was the result....

Yep that's right that's the same t-shirt hanging on the line to dry after a dose of the ACE stain remover and a 50 degree full wash in my washing machine!!

I couldn't quite believe my eyes it looks as good as new and no hint of any stains, marks or residue left on the polo shirt and it smells super fresh, ready to wear to school! ACE is definitely a game changer, its not only going to save time meaning I no longer have to stand scrubbing stains but its going to save me money too! No more dashing to the uniform shop half way through each term for replacement uniform... well except from when the kids to decide to have growth spurts!

Not only does ACE remove those stubborn stains, germs and grease marks it also helps keep clothes bright, smelling fresh and lasting longer and lets face it, we already face enough challenges with our little ones without having to worry about stains!

Now I can wave them off to school, knowing I don't need to fret when it comes to stains! Life is all about making memories, having fun and living in the moment right? After all memories last forever but at least now the stains definitely won't thanks to ACE!

xXx

  1. I wish I had this when my four boys were young. They liked to play soldiers which meant crawling through mud.

  2. I love that it can remove in the toughest stains, I wish I had known about it earlier before I chucked away a nice top.

  3. I need this! My daughter usually comes home with pen inks on her white top and the stain remover I use doesn't seem to work on ink? Will definitely give this one a go :)

  6. I need to get some of this. I’m wondering it it might lift off those ‘dirty neck’ shirt collar stains?
