I remember getting my very first BABY born doll as a child and being absolutely in love. I would care for my BABY born doll as if it was a real baby and I remember loving just how realistic BABY born looked. I can't tell you how excited I was when Evelyn began wanting to play babies and dolls as it took me right back to my childhood.
We were recently asked if we wanted to take part in the BABY born "babysitting" campaign they are currently running and Evelyn was so excited for her baby to arrive and to take part! When her BABY born arrived it was definitely love at first sight, she couldn't contain her excitement to get the baby out of the box and wanted to kiss and cuddle her as soon as we placed her in her arms. The doll has rarely left her sight since!
BABY born is such a classic doll and actually has 9 life like functions including being able to cry real tears, eat, drink and even wet/poop! It also comes with 11 baby essentials accessories which include a potty, bottle, dummy, nappy, baby food and a bowl/spoon. The life like functions are fantastic and really give children the chance to care for their doll with some real life tasks like changing a nappy and feeding baby.
I love that the doll also comes with so many accessories it means if you wanted to you really wouldn't have to buy anything else for your child to be able to look after their BABY born doll and have hours and hours of fun.
BABY Born doesn't require batteries which gets a big thumbs up from me. It means I never have to worry about her favourite toy running out of batteries or having to constantly have the correct batteries in the house just in case. I also love that the baby functions are totally dependant on the child meaning they can initiate any of the babies functions and be in total control when playing and role playing.
Along with the BABY born doll we also received the BABY born travel seat (RRP £24.99) which is fantastic! Its actually a 3 in 1 travel seat that can convert between a car seat, a sit up chair and a pushchair, meaning Evelyn has all the items she needs to care for her BABY born but taking up minimal space in the house.
The travel seat is great and has been a firm favourite with Evelyn who after a few uses learnt quickly how to adapt the seat all by herself (just needing a little help to adjust the handle height as the clips are a little tricky for small hands). It has been taken in our car, out on the school run and carried around the house and still looks as new so its a fairly sturdy toy too.
Evelyn has been so happy looking after her very own BABY born doll. She especially loves the fact the doll has a hard body which means she can bath her BABY born. She really enjoys it when she can bring her baby into the bath with her or giving her a bath in her very own little tub and its another little task that
BABY born was a firm favourite of mine when I was little and despite not much changing with the doll since then I am almost certain this will be a firm favourite of Evelyn's for years to come too. The robust yet life like doll is perfect for play and the multiple functions of the doll make it perfect for any children who love to care for baby or get in their babysitting practice.
The BABY born interactive doll is priced at £49.99 which includes the doll plus all 11 accessories (even a little birth certificate so your child can name their baby). I think this is a really fair price and you get lots included for the price.
You can purchase the BABY born doll and travel set (as well as lots of other official BABY born accessories) from most toy stores including The Entertainer, Toys R US and Smyths.

I used to love playing with my Annabelle doll that was very much like this! I'm so glad something similar is still around because I used to have so much fun and it made me feel like I had a genuine responsibility.
ReplyDeleteThis is a adorable! And a great idea to get a child used to an arrival of a baby? I wonder does this baby come in other ethnicity? If not it should.
